Had a spare half hour today so thought I'd have a crack at my homemade cold side relocation kit (as seen on murdered LCR old readers ride)

I needed to change the throttle body to MAP pipe as this was the only pipe I didn't change when the FMIC went on.

Firstly I took the old pipe off and started to cut the two 90 63mm bends I ordered to make the same shape as the existing.

Then to fit in into the bay. I fitted it one piece at a time because it worked easier for me

Removed the dump valve pipe from the charge pipe then added the 90 barbed bend into the TIP

Blanked off the charge pipe

Then to cut a small length of pipe to come off the throttle body pipe for the new DV location

This bit you need to think about so it doesn't hit the bonnet

Then i Joined up the dv to TIP connection

Tighten up and refitted the engine cover

And that's it done!!!

Just need to get the polished forge charge pipe and have a go at the mani but I'm pleased with my dirty bay so far

Have you driven it since? Does the DV chirp?

Your engine bay looks awesome. I haven't as yet do u get a fitting guild with the forge? If I imagine where it was and now the connection from the TIP is on the side instead of underneath

I'm gonna change it anyway

Cheers! It's filthy though mate, dying for some good weather to spend a day on the bay properly.

You get a guide with the Forge kit yeah, but I didn't use it, all fairly straight forward. The two 90 degree pieces off the tip just 'extend' the DV as such all the way around towards the front of the bay, which is why I've left the DV in this arrangement to the TIP basically.

Go for a drive and see how it is. Mine's felt really good since I did it though and there's no 'chirp' from the 008.

Didn't give it much due to weather,it not being warmed up and the little one in the back but you don't seem to get as much of a whistle on turbo in the cab. Also the dump is quieter I guess I just can't hear it in the cab as well due to it being further away.
