My Platinum Grey LCR - wheels refurbed.

I decided a week ago to do something about the wheels... the laquer was pealing off and paint had bubbled on the spokes.

Decided to tackle the spare at the weekend and it turned out pretty well.

So set about the other 4 on Tues....

And how they look on the car.... its a slightly darker colour than standard but has a little blue pearl as well.

Look good. I really need to do mine but have no idea how to go about it, what's the process involved? How long did it take you to do all 4?

i like them but not tooo sure about the blue pearl, it will grow on me though!

I started tuesday night, cleaning them all and leaving them to dry. Got the first coat of primmer on tues night, then left to harden, gave them a rub down the next morning before putting a couple more coats of primmer on.

Got them all painted and laquered before i went to bed on wed night and then they were polished and put back on the car this morning.

Really smart colour, did you use special paint with the blue pearl in it or did you mix 2 paints?

how did you fully protect your tyre to stop overspray getting on it, mine need doing and i might have a crack on my spare
