Factory fit HID with reflectors.

OMG that picture gets about! pretty much on every forum. Theres another same picture but from further away to reveal the washer

yes its factory xenon, yes it has auto levelers, yes it has washers!
volvos have the same setup, (you dont need projectors to have xenons.)
my old car had the same setup, it didnt have projectors, but had everything else

thats a lovely light cut off. Will defo get those done before MOT time.

Yeh the projector lenses do tend to create a severe cut off, by no means restricting the light output though. Just means you can get a good balance between good light on the road and not pointing at the sky. You will definatly notice a huge difference over the standard halogen lights, well worth upgrading to IMO :D

The lights were £166 each from the dealer then you need bulbs and ballasts.

great job

you take aftermarket bulbs and ballast.... or you take original (factory) bulbs and ballast ?

how much does it costs ?

your factory bixenon lights are so amazing!!!

Mike, quick question, I noticed in one of you pics you have a slightly smaller front reg plate, where did you get this from? If you don't mind me asking how much aswell :)

Danny.

The ballasts are original VAG parts, bulbs are D1S type (phillips xen-start) from ebay.

any ideas on costs for the ballasts? and how are they wired in? do they take the feed from the original wiring? or did you need to wire in additional wires for it?

did you ever get the shutter working? to allow for the bi-xenon?

Is it just as simple as removing old lamps and installing the xenons? Are the connections the same? I have the winter pack on my car so already have the headlight washers

I fitted the bi xenons too, a got the headlights from seat and they give me 25% off, so ask them if the buy from them, as the for the bulbs, I used hids direct, £59 for the pair 5000k D1S, and the ballasts came from a factors (apex in hereford) who are a valeo dealer, the part no is 043731, and cost around £70 each, seat wanted £145 each and are valeo parts in a seat box, you do need to order different plugs for the back of the headlights, which where £2 each from seat, changing them was easy bumper off then headlights, fit and then code car with vag com job done,

They look soooooo much better and the extra light at night, best mod I have done so far

If you are thinking about doing this pm me if you want and I will help you

Hope this helps
