hi

Last night had a little RR evening at local place in Slough called Novatech. The results seemed reasonable accurate as a few cars that had been RR'd before produced very similar results. Just wondering why i would be down on standard figures by so much( 15hp and 30 ft/lb down) ?

And could anybody tell me what might be creating my Boost fluctuations, The car is standard apart from N75J ; Forge 007 and N249 bypass.

(Sorry dont have scanner so had to use my phone for pics )

Thank you in advance

so do reckon would be worth puttting standard N75 back on and seeing what happens ? Do you think the J valve is causing it to run lean or creating bumpy boost curve ??

If its a standard cupra, 19PSI is a HUGE amount of boost?? I would expect a peak of 21PSI on a stage one map?

I would put the normal N75 back on and see if that helps? Or keep the N75J and see if anyone local will let you borrow their MAF and see if that helps. VAGCOM would be handy too if anyone local to you has it.

As a wise man once told me, its not all about da boost!

Well a mate has bag com but don't know how lto use it as he has burrowed it. Would the fact. That they had a strong heater on nearby would that affect my results? So what would I need to log and how would I go about using it ?

going back to basics
Very similar to my RR result a couple of months back, mine got 163.1BHP although my torque was slightly higher than standard and my boost spiked at 14PSI and settled to around 12PSI, it was initially thought to be MAF related but a few days later I found a split in the hose that runs from the N75 to the boost(?) pipe at the back of the engine.
I'm not saying this is your problem but check all your hoses including oil, boost and vacuum it maybe you have a spilt hiding somewhere.

Hmm interesting, thought the boost was high. How do i go about logging data on VAG com ?? just to check the MAF out ?

Will check the hoses tomorrow when i have a bit of time on the day.

Im hoping it is a boost leak cause think it will be easier and cheaper to fix then MAF issue. Will hopefully log the above blocks tomorrow and post the results as i am a complete noob and dont know what they will mean in some cases and what i should be looking for.

I understand our Bosch MAF's have a lifespan. 80-120 000km give or take...
