So, this is my Seat Inca.

It started life as a 2002 1.9sdi and I purchased it solely to clear about 5 tonnes of rubbish from my back garden.

after around 30 trips to the tip I had to make a trip from Manchester to Bath, as the stinka was ultra economical I decided to go in that.

It got me there and back without fault and returned 72mpg cruising on the motorway at 65mph.

Amazing I thought.. and I needed a town taxi so decided this would be ideal, fairly comfy, reliable and ultra economical, but me been me decided that it would look a bit better if I lowered it, and that was the beginning of the end.

It's now a massive money pit and an ongoing project and i had to purchase a standard mk2 VW caddy as a daily as this spends most of it's life in bits having something done to it..

so this was it when I got it -

as you can see, someone was totally ashamed about driving a seat and had fitted a VW grill and badge..

so, as soon as I lowered it, I replaced the front with the mk2 ibiza grill and lights

Next up was the inside. it had a lovely grey trim and lots of wood in the back..

I couldn't live with it, it HAD to be changed..
So I did this..

At some point in the middle of doing all that, I stumbled across this.

so Now I have a donor car..

I kind of liked the colour, so I did this

10960452_10153111125295513_1150718137725366752_o.jpg

and thats kind of where I'm up to..

My next job is to fit this though..

I'm just in the middle of cleaning, servicing and painting it, then I'll get it chucked in...

so as soon as I've done that, it will really be a Inca GTi Cupra sport, kind of...

I wanted to do this so badly about 8yrs ago, but never found the 'right' donor Inca (I had the 16v donor!)

Looks tidy though

Good luck with the Diesel to Petrol conversion... the least exciting thing will be the fuel tank (and pump) from the Ibiza

cheers for the comments all, the fuel tank will be pretty easy, a quick clean out and the mk2 pump will fit straight in the tank.

Yeh, not feeling the wheels either, I've got some off a mk3 golf which look like the mk2 ibiza wheels, but they're 16x7 rather than the 6's, i'm just in the middle of the referb at the moment..

I love it mate. I will be following the thread mate. Had 2 escort vans years ago with alloys on and they were so much fun. Makes me want to buy a van lol.

Hi cheers for the comments, I have like a daily struggle with this on weather to keep it or sell it, i really like it but it's so un-practical for my needs, keep toying with the idea of selling it any buying a mk3 ibiza cupra (I have 2 kids) then i think i'll just fit rear seats, then i think "balls to the missus and kids, they can walk"

Bit of positive feedback on it keeps me motivated lol..

It's funny... I was thinking that with a 1.8T would make me really want to buy it!

Maybe I'll look for a more modern Caddy and pop a 2.0T in it

i wouldn't want a 2k, i drive one in work, they're dreadful.

it's more of a case of needing a more sensible car than a van. I have a mk2 ibiza aswell with a VR6 in it, but again, it's not exactly practical
