Hi all,

Used to own an Ibiza Mk2 GTI 16v, and since selling it i have never been the same.

Managed to pick this little beast up, had to get a train for 4 hours upto Hull after work, but the drive back was worth it.

Finally got round to cleaning her up today and fitted a new clutch cable (dont want that darn pedal box breaking)!

I am absolutely delighted in the condition of the overall car, she drives spot on and i think you will agree the bodywork is stunning. In fact i would probably say it could be the best kept GTi Cordoba in the country - they are pretty rare!!

For those that dont know she runs a 115BHP 1984cc 8v engine - 0-60 in around 8.5 secs.

Comments and ideas welcome - although i think i will be keeping her standard as she is too rare to mess about with!!

mutant car!

I hoped it was a coupe :( (fabled 2.0 8v Coupe)

But it's got the same bumpers my 1997 coupe had (different to 1998 coupe) - with the rear cut out for the exhaust etc

Not see any before now that weren't on "skinny bumpers"

Looks nice tho

thats very nice...... is the cordoba cupra even rarer?

my only image of one.and i know someone has a yellow one on here somewhere, they posted trackday pics of it earlier this month.
looks superb imho

Thats a fantastic looking cordoba and i love that colour, dont suppose you fancy swapping for a 2door 16v do ya? ;)

All the 4doors are GTI's, but there was a Cupra Coupé that ran the 2.0 8v engine too, these are even rarer than the 4 door GTI's and i only know of a couple.

they do look cool. i managed to get my grubby mitts on a press pack for the ibiza cupra r, leon 4 and the cordoba cupra. until then i didn't realise there was a sporty cordoba! did SEAT uk oficially import any leon 4's and if they did how many?

Does look cool but falls into the VAG group ''lets make a nice little car and put even smaller rims on it'' catagory

Bit of tweaing and it'll look well smart IMO! :D
