Purchased my 2001 (51) Cupra on Sunday, well i say purchased i did a part exchange with an Audi TT 225 + cash my way. Must say very impressed with the Cupra, very rapid especially low end, comfy and a very sporty feel to them, although not to confident about corners at moment being used to having four legs on the ground with the TT quattro!

mods so far are

REVO remap
Green Cotton cone air filter
Forge Split-R dump valve
Nomad twin gauge pillar mount
Boost and oil temperature gauge

Yesterday had all the tints removed professionally and IMO think it looks alot better!!

opinions welcome.. good or bad!

yes mate iv been asked this, but to be honest i found the TT a lovely car, just wasnt for me more of a long distance cruising car, had some fun in it but got to the point where i got bored of driving it

errm not much right now

possibly intercooler, brake upgrade then who knows i might get the bug ..

Thats a good buy that mate I was well close to buying it a year ago. Did you buy it off a guy called Matt. He has really looked after that car. Good one. Better without the tints for sure.

hi jay, yes mate i did get it off Matt seemed really nice bloke, yea very clean and tiday and seemed very well looked after, very particular about my cars and that like to look after them too

Nice car mate.

I agree with you on the TT. I bet driving wise and power delivery with the 4x4 is great. But as a car I don;t think it looks all that great (especially for the money..)

My first mods on the cupra would be a TIP and maybe coilies. The tip will really sound great with the +-1 bar boost with Revo.

Intercooler will help preserve power, and then go for a larger DP and exhaust.

But thats just me lol, I've already got the bug

heres the tt

Whats TIP by the way ?

thanks fr the comments :), like i say still only had it since sunday but i think Intercooler is probably top of the list on mods.

any other performance recommendations?

TIP turbo intake pipe is the black pipe running to your airfilter box, on the pic right of the charge pipe (metal pipe running over block) Your DV is plugged into the TIP. Get a silicone one from Forge or somehwere else like selling section on here, and you'll hear your turbo spool up very nicely. Put an airfilter on tehre as well. People over there in the UK seem to like the Jetex ones.
Won;t be very expensive but you'll definately enjoy these mods.

then do FMIC. Search for universal one on ehre if you're on a budget or look for Forge...many threads on here

so is the tip worth getting then ive got a pipercross viper on mine already get a good whistle and a nice suction sound fron it will a tip make that louder then.???
