MyCupra issues

Hello peeps, new to this so go easy on me !
I have a new Born and cannot get it to register on the My Cupra app no matter why I try.
All I get is the “sorry something went wrong” message on the screen and that I’m staying a Guest but the app says “Sucess, you logged into My Cupra” then freezes , any ideas or similar experiences?

Hi, sorry to hear you're having trouble. Have you checked the Formentor and MK4 Leon Forums, as the software is likely very similar it might have been solved over there, worth a search. Please do keep us posted in this thread as the Born forum grows.

Have to say this is pretty much the same thing I've had since day one.

Trying to link to the phone using the qr code and trying to login via email gives the same something went wrong message. The garage have offered to help, but the 50 mile round trip combined with a 7 week old and subsequent major surgery for the Mrs have put that on hold!

I had the same issue for a couple of days until the software in the car was updated.
The software could not be updated in the showroom and I did not want to wait at the dealer showroom.
So a day or two later I had an option saying there was a software update. Once the software was updated and I was in an area where the signal seemed strong I was able to then connect via the QR code.
I did reinstall the MyCupra app and do a full clean install before I tried it after the software update.
Are you able to try the install on another phone? Could it be your phone? Tried doing it in a different location where signal may be better?

Have the dealers approved it ? ie they authorise/confirm you as the user.

Did the software update on the car today so will see if that sorts the issue in the morning.

I wasn't aware of the dealers needing to do anything. We couldn't do the set up when I picked the car up as apparently the cupra website wasn't working (per the dealer). They said I could just sort it from home the next day.

Happy to report that following the update (and finding somewhere with enough signal) my car finally connected to the app. Massive thanks for making that suggestion (I didn't even realise an update was available).

Hopefully the op has the same success.
