can anyone explain why you get chatter when n249 bypass is done? feels stronger with the bypass done, but chatter isnt good for turbo life is it?

any ideas why please...leon cupra facelift btw

hmmh, followed the guides on here for diameter pipework....

could possibly try some thicker diameter pipe, same inside diameter but thicker wall?

have you bypassed yours danny?
 
mine is bypassed, used 5mm ID silicone hose, forge 007p with yellow spring and mine as far as i know doesnt chatter.

might connect it back up and see if its any different.

mine is bypassed yes. 5mm silicon hose straight from intake mani to dv. Could also be the spring in the DV is too stiff?
 
Mine chatters back through the tip and out the hks mushroom I have it's fine I have removed everything from the n 249 some people put in t bits when you don't ant thing only thing I have left is the grey block and the connector block harness thing can get pics later if you want , there is a difference between flutters ie good and bad remove your pipe on top of the dv and rev it on the spot sounds the tits but it's not good for it

apr r1 valve so diaphragm based, although when i had forge 007 it did it then aswell, ive done the bypass twice now and same reuslts both times.

could vac tubing be too weak and collapsing under vac, and or t-piece restricting.

iirc its 4mm tubing, 4mm t piece

on my lc, ive bypassed as follows

intake manifold nipple to dv nipple, t pieced in the middle to the fpr.. 2 vac sources that the dv went to and n249 reservoir are blocked up with bolts, no air leaks there..

any ideas?

Ah lol fair enough it's a little different as yours are under the Mani but still the same kind of thing haven't got pics of my mates car that I done
 
any pics to yours done adam? or how you did to compare, what hose you used etc?

Mine comes from an extra vaccum take off on the inlet manifold that I made and goes straight to DV using 4mm internal silicon.

Before that it was T'd into FPR and was excatly the same.

You sure its not the DV you can hear through the filter? thats a little different to chatter when the DV is not going off.
