it will only make a difference if your ecu is dumping boost while on full throttle.
Thats the whole point of the n249 it lets the ecu open the dump valve to get rid of some boost.
when you bypass it i wont be able to dump any boost so your engine gets it all.
Dump valve response may also be quicker when the n249 is bypassed but thats about it

Sorry to be Mr Thicko from.......

Can someone point me in the right direction for the instructions on how to do this little mod, thanks.

can some tell me what would happen if you remove the black box on top of the coil packs (dont no what its called, lol) and block the hose that goes into it up. ta

ive orderd some hose, should be with me the next couple of days, can the black box be removed then without using the resistor? Ive read that some people have not botherd using the resistor but left it connected-what do they mean by 'left it connected' what part?

cheers

Will the black box get to hot where ive put it? because ive removed the bracket that hold the engine cover on and needed fix it somewhere.

right above the turbo:confused: it will melt in no time and is a bit of a fire hazzard

Its real easy, just search for pics and copy the vacuum plumbing. Failing that i'm sure Olly will help you out, give him a bell ;)

Mine, if its any help....
