it will only make a difference if your ecu is dumping boost while on full throttle.
Thats the whole point of the n249 it lets the ecu open the dump valve to get rid of some boost.
when you bypass it i wont be able to dump any boost so your engine gets it all.
Dump valve response may also be quicker when the n249 is bypassed but thats about it

yep this was the prob with mine...ecu seemed to be opening it randomly..got really anoying!
 
did have a little trouble as got connections wrong and would not boost over 0.5 psi but a quick phone call to badger 5 and sorted it and oh my god what a diffrence the boost does not drop off as quick the car feel so much better i would recomend any one doing this bypass

it cost me £10 for 3meters of silicon hose with cable tyes and t piece from mark at forge motorsport ive changed every vaccum hose on the car money well spent THANKS FORGE AND MARK YOU HAVE CHANGED MY CAR
 
Right i actually got a question on this.

Its not about my car as i've removed the entire system, but on the N112 valve, the one which is actually used is the third port which isnt being used capped off?

You can see in this pic that theres a cap over the third port shown at the very bottom of the pic.

I've noticed some people havent got theirs blanked off, would this effect the running?
 
You got any more pics phil cant really understand i did notice on mine beacause i had the ko3s conversion there was a pipe blanked off

it looks to me that its plumbed in wrong i dont know mate
 
my N249 valve is disconted apart from the electrical plug
the other valve has only 2 connections and they are wired up i have no blanking plugs any where
 
on partial throttle it chatters a bit but when it hits full boost its a really quick woosh when i let off no chatter

its still peaking at 1.7 bar then fades to a 1 bar still on standard jabba map maybe wrong spring in forge recerc valve

really going well though
 
sounds like your dump valve spring is too stiff if its chattering only on partial throttle but ok at full boost/throttle
