Name that bottle!

I have not got my manual to hand but wondered what is in the bottle at the back right of the engine as you look at it ina roundish bottle?

Power steering fluid? Brake fluid?

On another note, £530 for cambelt service!!!!!

lol sorry, i think it was blue? hmmm will check tonight and then perhaps look in the manual!

Any way its a reddish colour liquid and is pretty low!

G10 coolant is pink

brake fluid is otherside of the engine bay with a yellow cap
powersteering is black bottle with green cap by the battery

Have you had the service done? Or looking for a price? As you'll get it cheaper than that.

£530... if you have paid that you need a slap! £200 at the very most it should be, and often enough that'll include the waterpump.

Of course i havent paid that, just ringing around for quotes. That includes a major service as well!

Been quoted around 350-450 for a major service and cambelt chnage at the moment from other garages.

What major service, oil, filter, airfilter and possibly a pollen filter? All can be done in one day and including parts your talking £250ish.

You'd be hard pressed to get a cambelt change and all other major service items done for less than 250 quid. Cambelt is a 3+ hour job which wracks up the price.

I think BBT were doing them inc water pump for £300inc vat, im gonna need it soon so have been looking also, most prices are £300-£350

Cheers guys. Looked in my manual last nigth and it is the coolent.

Any way service is next. £400 seems the average price, £250 being just the cambelt chnage.
