Just want to say thanks to Mork and Kev and anyone else who has tried to help sort out my boost problem on my car, Kev came to the conclusion that i need to update my code (Revo) as what my car was asking for wasnt right.

So until i do some more logs with my new code( when i get it) here are some snippets of the logs that i have done recently what do you think,

That one was done on a run in 3rd gear from 2500rpm all way to redline.

that's a lot more like it!

You couuld probably notch the timing up 1 - but you're certainly hitting peak air flow, or damn near it at 5400 - would be interesting to see a log to the redline to see if you're sustaining it (I think you will do with the fmic though)

Yeah i thought it had good air flow too but that 0.3 of bar that was mentioned last year as being down against requested boost is still there, which Kev believes is the code.

If you look at this it shows it clearly

RPM Load Absolute Pres. Absolute Pres.

That is the reason Kev said i needed the new code especially as she is asking for near 1.3 bar at 6000rpm

I'm confused. So what version are you running now? And you'r going to get a new version right?

Have you got any logs of N75 Duty cycle? Group 118?

Your boost looks very similar to mine, especially the >5200 rpm , although mine flows nothing like the 200 g/sec that yours does, it used to and hence my worry that I've got a problem.

Revo stg1 dont know what version of it i have heard rumours that there isnt an updated code for what i have already but i will have to speak to simon at Mega 4 to see what i can arrange, if your airflow is low have you changed your MAF.

I havnt got logs for that i wanted to log that but didnt know what number it was i might log that in a bit what would it be best to log it next too

Also i was just reading Pabs DV problem and i often hear that "chatter" noise especially when i go to put my foot down on the motorway and just as the turbo starts whistling i let off, could this be the cause of my boost problem i need a stronger spring????

if you read my thread, I am now thinking a weaker spring has improved the problem. Getting really confused -

Bill said:

Chatter is DV not working. Insufficient vacuum and or overly hard spring to overcome..

And that now makes more sense to me than needing a stronger spring. I'm just trying everything I can to solve it.
Think the next thing is to bypass the N249, and that should make the vacuum at the top of the DV stronger... (if the n249 isnt working quite right)

I still have NO errors on vag-com, so thats good.

My worry is though if that is the stem of my boost problem and i change for a weaker spring will my car be seeing 1.3 bar at 6000rpm if so thats not good surely

I also think since i put 2 3" cold air feeds into my "modified" BMC CDA i have increased that airflow massivly before i was only seeing 190 g/s and now 211.92 at 6200rpm i think is the impressive part, does anyone know if my N75 valve looks ok from that log by the way

N75 looks better than mine, mine's pegged at 100% at anything over boost 3 Timing 6 (Optimax) What boost and timing sttings are you running?

low boost 9 and timing 6 i think as that is the equivelant setting on the sps2 for 98ron fuel as that is what mine is set at

1.6bar on mine... ~400bhp and stdndard green spring.... yellow or more and the DV does not work properly on mine. Direct fed from intake manifold in 5mm bore pipe... No N249 crap on mine..

I was in the same situation with revo, wasnt running right, m0rk did some logs with me, my timing was pulling back alot, so out came his sps3 and backed it off a bit, runs much better now, and pulls much higher up. lots of Very helpful people on this forum :D

must say i'm much happier now i've reverted back to std green spring - yellow and blue both causing the "chatter" noise i've been ranting on about for ages. Green still does it very occasionally, but SO much better than before.

Car today seemed SO fast too - it pulls like a steam train! :D :D :D
