Hi guys,

I posted about this earlier but now have an image, which should hopefully help. Before I go into this, I want to say how great the people on this forum have been. I've had a couple of problems and with other's helpful feedback from this forum they've been easy to sort:clap:

Anyway, I reversed into someone this morning. Oops. I'm gutted about it but luckily they don't want any money as I just scuffed their bumper (that or they don't have insurance!)

It's taken a few bits of the paint off the back of my Ibiza's bumper (see pic below.)

Admin - hoping you don't mind, but I really need to post a link, I'm not a spammer, promise ;)

the pic is at twitpic dot com forward slash 518ww

I've been doing some research and found that Halford's Flash Red stick is going to look awful on my Emocion Red paint job. I found cartouchuppaints dot co dot uk and they seem alright, plus it's paint supplied, not a stick, which may make it more suitable for the damage on my car.

What do you reckon - is this something i'll be able to cover myself with the paint from this site? Despite what it looks like in the image, the damage isn't very deep.

Cheers!

Thought I'd post it up directly for you:

oo nasty scuff there, you'll definetly need more that just a pen for that, and say a custom mix from halfords someone who knows what amount to mix, and decent laquer.

Mask around around, wet and dry sandpaper, clean, primer, spray on light with several coats, wait enough time between coats, sand and clean again, paint, sand, clean, gloss

being its on the bumper and not metal, i'd say its ok not to worry about the type of paint being slightly different forumla as long as it doesnt cause a reaction and cause your original paint to flake off, but nowaday this is a rare case.

In my opinion i think your better off taking it somewhere to be professionally done! All though it will be expensive, i think (personally) you will end up better off! I think no matter how hard you try and how well you do it, its still going to be noticeable after.
