Hello everyone, I've owned my ibiza for just over 8 months now, I have only done minor mods at the minute such as:

HIDs

led side lights

LED interior lights

carbon wrapped rear bumper trim

I have coilovers for the car which I picked up off a friend of mine who is selling his FR so he's putting it back to standard, I only paid £40.00 for them and for that price I thought why not......

They where in a bit of a tired state when I picked them up so I decided to give them a refurb....

Disassembled

sanded masked and primed!

struts done!

springs done...

the finished product!

About a week later i decided the yellow rear dampers would look odd so I gave them a few coats too....

primed.....

and again the finished product!

The coilovers should be going on soon, I will post a picture as soon as they're fitted

this is the car as it stands at the minute by the way

Once the coilovers are fitted it will be time for wheels! I really like the look of the Xxr 527 so the plan at the minute is to get a set of those!

just a picture for the people who don't know what they look like, I will be getting them in chrome black though instead of matte black

Looks good, think the black alloys will look great on it. I've got the same car in red and getting some lowering springs fitted Tuesday as the standard ride height is just horrible!

I know haha, I had a look through your thread earlier mate it's looking good! The understeer with the ride height is appalling haha especially on the stock bridgestones, I've had toyo proxes fitted and they have helped a lot handling wise!

Ill have to have a look at the toyo's ive still got the bridgestones on mine but they will be due a change in the next few months so ill have to keep an eye out

How was the bumper trim to wrap? just im thinking of doing mine gloss black to match my rear bumper strip and it looks like you've got a really good finish.

They are really good for the price the toyos, and I hear nankang ns2 are good too they are also cheap I think I'm gonna put them on the xxr's when I get them...

The bumper trim was really quite easy to do, I did it while it was still in the bumper too, aslong as you've got a Stanley blade to hand you won't have any problems, literally just wrap the lot then cut out the wrap that covers the reflectors then run a credit card round the edges to tuck them in, a heat gun would make life easier but it's not a struggle without one anyway, it took me no longer than 20 minutes all Together

Sounds easy enough might have to give it a go next weekend, was going to wrap my front bumper strip but as ive never done it before i thought the bends might get the best of me so i cheated and just plasti dipped it, but with the bumper trim being flat ill probably just give it a go.

Mark, how did you get your alarm to tweet on lock/unlock? Is this something you can do to The standard alarm or is it an aftermarket part you've fitted??

I used the carista app and a odb Bluetooth adapter - it can be done through vagcom if you can get hold of one but the carista app is very easy to use and I had a free 14 day trial of it.
You can make it tweet as long as you have an alarm on the car (otherwise the horn honks which would be extremely funny but annoying)
With the app you can also do things like turning the seat belt warning off etc they have a full list on there website.

Plus side you can also use it for apps like torque and use it to read and clear faults

Just ordered a new set of HID's , new 3d gel number plates and seat sport plate surrounds, will post pics when they arrive and are fitted

They look great ! Really love the carbon in the rear bumper , demon plates do 3d carbon plates, I have them on my fr, they would look awesome on yours.

Calipers look great, what did you use to paint them? I used halfords caliper paint and it took absolutely ages so only have the fronts done and in the few weeks its been on they have already got places with no paint on

Thanks lheath93 I ordered some 3d carbon plates yesterday just hope they look how they did in the picture when they come Haha! And I used halfords caliper paint too did you use the aerosol or the tin mark?
