Hi,

I am looking at buying and '04 Leon Cupra R in the next week or so.

Just wondering is it possible on the Leon's to turn the standard blow off valve around the other way to give it a better noise, bit like a dump valve? My mate has got an Evo 8 and this has been done on his and it sounds the nuts?

Cheers

Dave

You can fit it in reverse - a number of people have done this by mistake in the past - but it doesn't give any great change in noise.

The closest you'll get to a full atmospheric DV is the Forge SplitR. But please... do search this forum for info on DV's as there is so much info out there from so many previous posts ;)

Would it make a difference if the air filter was uprated aswell??

Cool thats all I needed to know. I don't really like dump valves that much to be honest. Prefer the noise my mates Evo makes!

Cheers

A panel filter wont make much of a noise difference... but if you change the intake for an induction kit then you'll get more of a noise from it.

All been covered before though ;)

as rob says, get rid of the standard bosch rubbish, fit a forge 007p diverter valve with an induction kit. i've got a BMC carbon filter on mine and you do get a little audible whoosh. i've also got a big K&N cone filter for the cooler months and it sounds evil with that on! ;)

welcome to the forum by the way

Cheers for the welcome and the advice, have found the Cupra I want so should hopefully have it by this time next week!!
