Just out of curiosity y is the 140 bhp model better for tunning than the
170 bhp is it just because of the dpf or is ther other reasons to

Firstly it don't have the dpf ( yes you can remove the dpf system but that also requires the software deleteing also which can be more hassel than its worth)

Secondly there seems to be more parts available for the pd140 over the 170 which seems weird considering there particaly the same engine.

Seatman has got a good point above that golf is running high power levels with low level mods and custom remap he might be quite a good person to talk to about the engine really
