hi guys. i'm looking to get an induction kit or panel filter but not sure which one to get. After a good sound but nothing too pricey.
and let me know what you are runnig in your cars.
cheers.

Most people will say smooth airbox with a green stuff panel filter.
But if you want noise a big open cone filter is the way to go, green stuff again.

I'v just had an autotech induction kit fitted and FOOOOK Me my dv is SOOOO loud and the throttle responce is awsome ( give jbs a call ) . its a over sized K&N put down in the front bumper for cool air ..... well worth it.

if you want a bit of noise then smooth the aibox add a 3" feed pipe and then drill some holes in the bottom of the airbox, With the new panel it'll probley cost about £40.

I did this and did foook all compared to my new one , i meen open cone with no sucking in hot air ...... best of both worlds !

Yeah but how much did you pay for it and how much extra power did you're new open filter give ????

I agree smooth airbox piper x filter and 3" feed. Mine is now louder than when I had a K&N open filter on. DV is loud aswell D.K can back this up.(spliter R's do work:lol:)

i've done the same as d.k; but used a soldering gun to melt away most of the bottom of my airbox - you could call it drilled i guess! nice dv noise and low down growl.

Please dont get me started on the Split R valve.... Piece-o-SHITE!!!!

Cheers guys alot of good optoin's. however i also have a split r on my lcr and it does work. no loss of boost and a great sound to go with it. why do you lot hate them do much?????????

If that are not set up right then thay can cause a lot of problems, I'v recently put mine into full recirc and it made a lot of difference.
With regard to induction kit's it just depends how much you want to spend as there really is'nt any big BHP gains to had from any, 4 -5 BHP top's and you could pay up to £200 for it

Yep ;)
I think the other reason there have been problems is that because it's adjustable people mess about with them trying to get more noise from them.

did you have the pipercross filter and dv on before you had it mapped?
