After experiencing juddering of the steering wheel when braking from about 60 and above for a few weeks, I took it to a mechanic who said my front discs are warped and need replacing.
My question is how do I know what brakes to use. I have a 2009 1.4 SE on stock 15" alloys.
After doing a quick search on the forum it seems like upgrading the brakes would be a good idea but does better brakes mean bigger too too as it doesn't exactly seem as though there would be a lot of clearance left.
If I do go down the road of upgrading, having read some other threads, EBC OE replacement discs and pads seem to be decent enough while being cheap enough for me being on a bit of a tight budget. If not can anyone who has 15" stock alloys (unlikely seeing as most people have Cupra's and Boca's or FR's
) recommend any upgraded and relatively cheap discs and pads that would fit with a good bit of clearance left or would it better just getting some OEM ones?
