Need some ball joint help please

I had a little bump today ended in a bent wishbone and bent steering arm. I got the wishbone off but cant remove the damaged bottom ball joint or the ball joint at the end of the steering arm. I started to loosen the bolts and got so far until the whole ball joint started to turn before the nut came off the rusty thread. I presume its cause they are nylon nuts and should be removed with an impact gun. Is this correct and is there any way of removing them at home with the usual tools? thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Thanks for the reply. They look like the thread is hollow at the end so you can put a hex bit in the end and hold the ball joint still with a rachet whilst turning the nut with a spanner but mines too rusty therefore the hex hole is just rounding before the nut moves. Grinder or hacksaw it is. Will i not have the same problem when puttin new ones on? will the nuts not go so far then the ball joint start to turn before the nut is tight?

Had to cut mine off last week, new ball joint was so tight that wasn't a problem, the new ones dont move at all when turning the nut to tighten it up..
