Hey all, New here and just saying hi.

Recently got the wife a 2005 Seat Altea 2.0 6speed TDI after she killed her car in the bad weather, Gotta say it is a massive upgrade from the 2003 fusion she previously had.

Car is Red, very well speced, has 6 disc changer, Bluetooth, folding mirrors, sports seats, climate, OBC, 2 owner car from new totally standard and has covered 108000 miles with fully history, Mechanic gave it a clean bill of health last night during a service where we fitted mew Air filter, Oil Filter and diesel filter, Oil used was Coma PD 5-40, mehaile filters. Great driving car.

Must resist lowering and fitting of 19s lol

108k! Jeez. Not far off 3rd DSG oil change then!

Shes a manual, Full history all its life, If you think about it 108k is not even 20k per year as its a 2005 car. Very Little wear on this car even the interior is in excellent condition, I viewed some 50-60k mileage cars before I bought this one and they where in a sorry state.

Looks good very tidy, red is a great colour[B)]
I was after a red one myself, but have now ended up with a 05 Silver 2.0 Sport DSG with 67k and FSH for 6k sweet;)
Any thing bland for the new beast?

Cheers, I love the colour too, spent 16 hours on it so far detailing lol

As for plans, this car is for the Mrs so all I plan to do is keep it clean and serviced as wouldnt trust her with it lowered and massive polished wheels although it is crying out for it lol
Lovely driving car though, very impressed with it, Feels solid and safe.

Had mine mopped when I first got it:rolleyes: (took him 2 days on the body work)
I have added a few extras to mine;) A Seat Sport twin exhaust trim, blade rear wiper and front mud flaps.
I have the same 17" wheels as you[B)] (look better than standard ref ones) But FR18s would fill the arches nicely:whistle:
I dont want to lower it, as i have a Arosa on coilovers silly low and find it a great fun but a harch ride, and the Altea is a Sport with firmer suspention allready:happy:

Altea sport's are a couple of mm lower than standard And FR's lower still, both with firmer springs and dampers[B)]

Yes I thought so... Not sure I would like to lower it more, the mrs would def notice lol Althought they do look the business lowered with big polished rims. seen one today on the floor with BIG AMG Merc rims, Pimpin lol ;) Maybe I could sneek in a remap without her catching on!! 170BHP + Sounds nice for a bit of a play, Diesel power is different to turbo petrol power in a cool way...

I've lowered mine with Eibach springs, and because they are progresive springs, they feel the same, only when you hit a bend hard do they firm up! you can corner at silly speds
