New battery any good or something else?

Hi guys, bought a brand new battery from seat.
I had just driven the car and pulled up and Turned the engine off with the infotainment playing for say 2-4 mins tops. And then I see on the infotainment a warning about low battery. Turn engine on or turn the radio off.
My old battery I could do this for about 20 minutes with with no issues.
So what’s maybe causing this? Because seat never mentioned anything about the alternator at any point checking the old battery and putting the new one in.

I dunno. I wasn’t told to do a long drive so I’d assume it was fully charged but although I know a long drive is always advisable. I’d of done it today. But didn’t fancy risking the possibility of been stuck on the m6 when I have to collect the children after school. Would of done it now but the wife is not home and don’t really want to drag the children with me.
After doing this will that give me a long radio time with out this issue. If not what else could be the issue?

It should do as the cut off is related to the battery voltage. Can you stick it on a trickle charger? Have you got a multimeter or battery tester?

I'd be tempted to make it seat's problem and let them deal with it.

Im prob going have to take it back. Although the car is out of warranty (may extend it). Went on a drive and it is a proper error, Like the one that ended up getting me to replace it in the first place.
Starts off with warning low in yellow/orange. After a while driving a Big red error after that disables stop start and after a while the power steering light comes on.
From my experience it doesn’t gain a charge no matter how far I drive. I tried it tonight before the red error came on.
Can’t make sense of it. Seat says it’s charging so why would it be still draining? I’m hoping it was a bad battery. I was told just to change the belt for the alternator and labour is in excess of £200 (the belt is just £35 lol) That’s not even for the main part

Why change the belt if it's charging OK? Is the belt worn? Get the battery tested, in case it's a dud which is rare, if it tests OK, then your charging system needs a look at. These are all things a tech should have done when they fitted the new battery.

Do you know anyone with a multimeter to check Volts across the battery when engine is running?

I’ll get them to check it out. The belt etc was brought up when I asked what if it’s not the battery causing the problem. I asked how much was the alternator to cost if it was that. That’s the reply I got.
I hope it’s just a dud. The batteries they never had on site they order it in so I dunno as I know nothing about cars really.
What I CAN say is. A day or 2 before my initial battery error. I did get an error saying something about the electrics and central locking. But that was only ever once when I got in the car. It’s never been back since and only battery issues came. Is that fuse related? I’m reading that if the alternator and battery is good that that’s where you go to look.

I don’t know anyone with a multimeter or at least I think I don’t. No one that close to me anyway.

Edit: I’ve been in my car just now. I went to check if the lights are on. The boot is off so it’s not that. The glovebox light seems to be staying on when it’s closed. Is this the criminal causing my issue?
Bearing in mind no other light was on in the car besides this one light which I’m certain my car is no exception to staying on.

What area are you in as someone nearby may be able to help?
Was the new battery coded to the car? If it wasn't identical spec to the old one it would need coding, although from what I have heard even if it's the same spec as old one the serial number should be coded in so that the car knows that a new battery has been fitted.
I had problems with my stop/start not working, I checked the coding which was all ok, then charged the battery for a good 12 hours on a high charge and the stop/start now works perfectly. if you do charge the battery yourself make sure that you do not connect the negative charger lead direct to the battery terminal, it should be connected to the chassis earth point.
