I am looking at replacing all brakes and pads, I have a 1.8T Cupra with stage 1 remap, I will be going stage 2 in the near future so I want some decent brakes. Can anyone recommend any?

Iv been looking at these for the front
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/perfo...rbo-groove-performance-brake-discs-front-pair
These for rear
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/perfo...urbo-groove-performance-brake-discs-rear-pair

Pads I am still unsure of I'm looking at yellow suff and red stuff, it says red stuff is designed for cars over 200bhp, doesn't say that on the yellow stuff can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance!

Just had all mine replaced actually. Here is what I went with. Very very pleased atm, initial bite is superior to the brembo max discs they replace. Ferodo ds2500 are class, expensive, but worth it. Need to go and bed mine in tonight thinking about it.

Ferodo DS2500 pads front
Ferodo Premier pads rear
CRN grooved discs all round
Motul RBF 600 brake fluid

Don't forget a set of new retaining pins, they are the same of the MGTF ones and they are on ebay :D

Road or track use?

Road - Standard discs, with DS2500 front pads and standard rears

Track - Standard discs, with DS3000 front pads and standard rears

And some fresh fluid - ATE super blue or RBF660

Road use, but I give them quite a punishing!
Where did u buy the parts from Kahn?

Will post links when at home.

DS2500 pads- Camskill

Everything else on ebay.

DS2500s will cope with anything you can throw at them on the road

More than good enough for stage 1 power on track too, if you just doing a track day etc. I've never had a problem with fade. Would have thought the DS3000 would be for competition use etc.

No doubt, but if you like 2500s on track, you should give 3000s a go. The difference is phenomenal

What are they like day to day?

Anyrode, OP. I have not seen them cheaper.

DS2500 for the fronts.

Fluid- I bought three bottles, but the guy only used 1 and 3/4. So not sure how much you actually need.

You will need to bed these pads in properly, do 200 or so miles or normal driving. Then find somewhere quiet and do some 70-30 stops, medium pressure about 10 times, let them cool and repeat. Various ways of doing it, doesnt seem to be one set method. Think the idea is to heat cure the pad material.
