New car 2.0l 8v gti

I bought the car at the weekend from dolly_gti nice bloke. Has a few scratches on the wings but u cant really tell as its silver, drivers seat is worn but apart from that its a pretty tidy motor. I have only driven it quickly as im not insured yet i've got to wait till my birthday in march . Its a bit of a step up from a 1.4 which im driving till im 21 lol, but cant wait to use it daily. The car has done 71000 miles.

Thats in great condition, you'll stand out a fair bit in that as you dont see many silver pre-facelift GTi's

Cheers for the replies guys im pleased with it so far but will be even more pleased when i actually get to drive the dam thing stupid insurance companies . Is there any one on this site from Surrey area?

I've never actually seen another gti driver on the road since i've had mine! it's great but somtimes i do just want to see someone else around my area who's got one! just so we can be friends looks nice mate, it's gonna be the longest month or so of your life! bet you desperatley want to drive it!

I know how you feel mate. WHen i got my Gti had to wait 2 days as she needed tax and could't get that without insurance documents. Longest days of my life.

Just and update i am now insured on the GTi and driving it about , lovely quick little motor. I may in the not to distant future go to a few meets where i might get to meet some of you in person, do any of you go to the kent modified nationals?

im missing the exhaust already.. going to have to sort one for my valver, glad ur enjoying it though
