Wifes SC got whacked in a car park yesterday, no witnesses! Insurance told, £120 access and protected no claims, but was just wondering if some of the dealers or even breakers are on here and could get me one. Its metallic yellow! can anyone help?

Can't stand car park *****, I don't see why people have such issues with them though, it's not like it's difficult to drive round them and how hard is it to put your hand on the edge of the door if you're not entirely certain you can open it without making contact with the car next door?

eBay would be your best bet, there's a couple being broken on there who'd be able to sell you a door.

None of them metallic yellow (tribu? or chrono yellow? (i dind't think chrono was metallic) last time I looked so you'll then have painting costs on top of it.
If no claims is protected then i'd just let the insurance company sort it out, much less hassle and almost certainly cheaper.

there are many websites, "find a part" for example, just post your requirments, and they have a database ov over 200 car breakers of whom they contact.
any breaker who has a one, will contact you with price etc.

Yellow is going to be a hard find. If it was me id buy the correct door and get it resprayed.

Also see if your trim is retrievable.

If you have insurance and Protected NCB I dont see why your trying to find a door yourself?

Sorry to hear it, its not good when stuff liek this happens. Tribu will be a b1tch to match I bet! Hope no one dings mine.

Better to get one from a car that’s been factory painted? After market spraying gives a whole different shade and texture to the paint. Believe it or not the orange peel will not match! All the trim can be swapped as it’s all OK, even the window still works! As for the PNCB, although we will still retain full NCB a claim will have been made and some companies will stiff you just for that fact, even if it was not your fault, hence the phrase ‘robbing B*****s’!

I don't get this either, even when you get a chip repaired it will affect your premiums... Definitely robbing *******s.

Hope you get the door sorted !

Insurance companies have access to loads and loads and loads of information about accidents, claims, and who claims.
From that information they've found that people who claim for something once, even if it's small, are more likely than people who haven't claimed before to claim for something again. Therefore, if you claim, you are a higher risk for the insurer to provide cover for and you end up paying more in premium for the insurer to take on the risk of covering you.
