Got a LCR and will be fitting HIDS to it. I know that its the H7 fitment i need but have read about normal H7 kits and H7R kits which are meant to reduce glare/dazzle. Couple of questions:

1. Which should I buy, H7 or H7R?
2. If i went for the H7 kit would I be likely to dazzle everyone or do the oem headlights not suffer from this.

Thanks

Paul

Sounds good. I fitted kit to mine on Sunday evening. Took me a while to get bulbs in and clip up, but once they are in straight and fixed tight, you won't have any problems.
Enjoy!

Check out www.mydepots.com, much more choice of colour temp's.

Have bought all of mine from there.

Colour is the important thing. I personally don't like the 6000K, too blue for my liking (obviously personal preference!)

I opted for 5000K, doesn't sound like much of a difference, but much whiter than the 6's.

The colour is really just down to what you prefer. I really like the 6000k's. I think the look really good.

Dont worry about getting the H7R's, they just have a tip on them so that the light doesnt come straight out the front. The leon stops this anyway because it has a metal cap over the lamp.

Be careful when installing though, if you do not get them in straight, and it touches the cap or arm of the cap, it could melt it.

Yup, get them checked. I had mine checked and they were well off. had to have a good fiddle with them but as long as you sit them in the lamp holder properly they will be fine.

If you have a local friendly garage that does your MOT's, take it to them as they will probably check it for free. If not, bung them a tenner a so.
