Just looking in my dealer pack and it says in the back that it gonna be fitted with a 1.4 biturbo 170HP/125KW with TSI technology.
TSI is notable for it's high pulling power and will have as stated before by someone else on the forum a 7 speed DSG gearbox

Now you've upset me!
I love them 19 but i know what your saying.
All the same they still look good eh?

I've not had the pleasure of seeing this 'dealing pack' for the concept MK5

It's just a very nice glossy imformation pack with lots of pictures and a little spec on this pocket rocket.

It's not about the mark 5, it's just about the Bocanegra and it has 12 pages of gloss covered pictures.
Pop down to your local dealer to see if you can blag one.
My dealer only had 10 in total but sent me one out as i told salesman about the car when i went in to try and buy/put a deposit down on one

Worth a try! Will give them a call.

Please let me know how you get on.
If you get no joy, let me know and i'll speak to my salesman at SEAT if that of any use to you

Oh ok, just what i was told by the dealer.
All the same still very nice to have though wouldn't you say?

I can see the Bocanegra getting released right at the end of the MK5 era just before the MK6s' come out - Just to boost extra sales. They'll probably release it as a Limited Edition model???

Lets hope not as that would be a great shame and SEAT would not be listening to the fan of there cars

Well in my pack it has the engine as i stated before.
Only posting what it says in black and white.
Never mind we'll just have to wait and see what they do release

So not got confirmed engines and alike?

Engine isn't confirmed, but the prototype sported a 200hp 1.4TSI (supercharged & turbocharged), which was mentioned in the press releases.

I would expect that these smaller engines with higher output will define the Ibiza range. So the hot versions will likely run either this 1.4 TSI engine or possibly the 1.8TSI (which at the moment is just a turbocharged variant used in some Audi's)

Wonder what the tuning area's could/would do if these smaller units start coming out.

Thanks for clearing that up, all big smiles etc slowly disappear when you expect something wicked but it still sounds like it will be a great car anyway.
Just want it looking like what we have seen so far.

Cheers Mark,
Don't it just pee you off the way they build your hopes up then de flate you.
Having said that i would settle for that engine

If SEAT follow past form regarding prototypes, i'd expect aspects of the Cupra to be the Bocagnegra.

Look to the original prototype for the Mk2 Leon (shown in 2005) and then the production Cupra in 2006.

If they follow the same path, then look at the Bocagnegra and expect it to look someway like it's production counterpart.

Not saying this will happen, but it's a good indicator.
