Hi,

This is my first post although I have been mooching at the forum for a couple of weeks. I picked up my LCR last night although it hasn't moved very far yet due to the lovely weather.

I have already ordered a C2 aerial for it and will sort out a fabia wiper at the weekend (This is your influence!! :) )

Anyway the car has been meticulously serviced throughout its life but I have been advised to change the MAF just to keep on top of things.

I've had a quick look around and found this:

eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Seat_Leon_1.8_2003/p/Car-Parts/Engine-Parts/Fuel-and-Engine-Management/Engine-Management-Sensors/?434440210&1&a2b75527e959f22645da276c7977ca53c42e5e4c&AFME#
(Cant post proper links as its my first post)

Will do this job/ is that a decent price?

I'm sure there will be loads more questions in the future so thanks in advance :D

Cheers

Steve

Hi and welcome :)

Is that plus or inc VAT?

Either way its good price I paid £66 exchange for mine from GSF.

I'd personally not change it unless its faulty.

That's all in delivered to your door as far as I know.

I take it its ok to wait for it to wrong and it wont cause me loads of problems?

The best way to check is to log its performance with a programme called Vag-Com.

If its not playing up I wouldn't change it.....If you start changing things that are common to go wrong you'd end up changing the coilpacks and Temp sensor to :cartman:

That MAF says 2000-2005 but then says 210 AMK engine....I'm not sure the BAM engine ones are the same? Its not very clear on the site if it fits both?

It was checked at Midland VW and came up clear. You make a good point I guess I'll just leave it for now.

I don't know the ins and outs of the part numbers to be honest with you.

Got one already done by AMD. I'm spoilt really as I will never know the difference it makes.

Thinking I'll get the wheels sprayed black although will leave this a couple of weeks at least.

Oh right I'll look into that then. What is the filter of choice? I've had Green fitted on others cars and they seem to work well.

Apologies if this question has been answered a million times.

I've had the car for nearly a week now its had no attention and covered zero miles due to the weather.

Thankfully it stopped snowing for 5 mins today so here it is in all its filthy glory:

Managed to fit my first mod too:

I also fitted my plate but didn't account for the unusually sized mount. So the smaller plate I have looks a bit sh*t. I will get a new one made that fits the space perfectly - Does anyone know the measurements of the mount?

Fabia wiper is next on the cards, respray the wheels and hopefully one day I will be able to give it a damn good clean.

It is in really good nick. I love the colour cant wait to spend a few hours with the clay bar and wax.

I just left a post in your thread complimenting your wheels. I might rip your style off :D
