Cars had the pick up pipe done now so that's one less thing to do. Only thing is they found a broken rear spring. So I guess I'll just have upgrade the suspension, coil overs I reckon.
Think rear coil spring is a common one I had a broken one. Put 2 new ones on but gonna fit coilovers soon.
Was just lookinf at springs and dampers. Not sure what to go for. Only going to be a 30mm drop or so.

The one i brought had both springs on the rear snapped. replaced those when my sister still had the car though. They'd both been just cut to lower it on the back. aparently its a good idea to only fit coilovers on the front!?

welcome to my world of issues!
thankfully stuff like thats an easy fix, ive got a couple of pipes with nothing connected in the engine bay ive gotta find yet. as soon as i can post pics ill pop one up, maybe you guys can tell me whats supposed to be connected! new to these engines so not much knowledge of exactly what goes where as of yet.
I'm fairly new to them as well but have soon got up speed by looking around the forums, plenty of threads and tips if you just go looking!
I think I found out what it was anyway. Pipes are in a slightly different place to what there supposed to be but you never know with this car!
Think it's a partial n249 delete someone's tried to do badly. Got myself a guide so going to check everything over when I have a chance. Work permitting of course.
How much does the chap charge for the heat shields bud? I might bin what I've got now and get a larger filter eventually.

Think it was about 40 quid delivered but the build quality is awesome. The ones on ebay are flimsy and look cheap. These ones also seal all the way to the bonnet so it's enclosed. Just need to get the edge trim and I paid 20 quid to have it powdercoated.

Started on my wheels today too. Such an improvement on the whole car even I was surprised. Just suspension and a few engine and interior bits to go and she'll be worthy of the cupra badge once again!

Sealed my drivers door the other door to stop it leaking and got a bit mad tightening the nuts up and snapped two :/ so gotta get them out and replaced as they are the bottom two so not exactly creating a good seal.
