Hi all, :help:

I need a quick answer to this.

Will a set of 17" Leon Sport Alloys of a new Leon fit on my 04 Leon 130 SE TDI?

Please be certain with your answer or tell me what information I need to get to check!

Thanks a lot.

James

Also,

I currently hve 205/55/ R16 on mine and the new ones have

Dunlop SP Sport 9090 225 45 ZR17 tyres on them.

Will they fit in the arches and not stick out and stuff?

James

Accordin to the SEAT website the allows that come on the sport are...

Alloy wheels 7J x 17

Will that fit?

James

The short answer is no. The new Leon has a 5x112 bolt pattern, like the MK5 Golf or the new Audi A3 (8P), whereas yours has a 5x100 bolt pattern like the MK4 Golf/Bora, the previous A3 (8L) or the previous Octavia.

Doh, thought there would be a catch like that! :(

I guess there is nothign i can easily do to make them fit either? Is changing the hubs and stuff expensive?

Cheers,

James

I don't know if you could change the hubs etc, if you could I think it would be prohibitively expensive and a lot of hassle. You may be able to get adaptors to fit but to be honest I think you would be better going for a set of alloys of the correct pattern.
You seem to be keen on these alloys if you're prepared to go to these lengths, are they the bargain of the century or something?

Guess thats that plann scuppered then.

Somone was selling a new set that had only done 80 miles and was in pefect condition with 4 brend new tyres for close to £400.

I used to drive a Focus ST before the Leon, and althoug im very impressed with the Leon I think I could do with some sligtly firmer tyers and lower profile.

I dont really want to modd it too much with aftermarket sets, plus Its hard then to know whats good and what isnt.

wat bout set of audi rs6 wheels or audi tt rims they'll look sweet and oem, even a set of bbs rimswould suit an there vag oem to me, does the r32 mk4 rims fit the'll look cool aswell

Ohh yeh the Audi TT ones look good.

Having a look on Flee Bay now!

Cheers

James

Okie I think i've found some other contenders...

Will 4 x 17" Audi TT alloys with 225/45/17 Fit? Its from a Audi TT Quatro Twin Turbo jobby. Its not a new one, so they sould fit ok right? Same Studd Patter and stuff?

James

Yeh, they are a possibility but i need to know if the Audi Wheels i've mentioned will fit! Please can somone help me confirm!

Cheers,

James

Ok, here goes, a crash course in wheel fitment:

PCD : the space between the wheel bolts. IE 5x100 is leon fitment. that is 5 wheel bolts, spaced 100mm apart

Ofset (ET) : the amount the wheel sticks in/out the arch. Leon needs somewhere around ET35

Wheel dia: Obviously the Wheel size, ie 17"

Width (J) : in inches ie 7J is 7"

So you may see 17x7J ET35

Centre Bore: the bore of the hub. Not so vital as you can get adaptors called spigot rings.

They are the specs which you need to check.
