new Leon changes

I e-mailed Seat last week asking why the delay for the uk market. It took them three days for someone to respond, and then all that said was that they will be looking into my enquiry and will get back to me (and it wasn't an automated e-mail either).

That was two days ago.

I don't spend 20k on a new car very often, and Seat sure are making it bl00dy hard for me to do so.

I hate to say it but I am looking at the Golf GTI and Audi A4 Avant now as other options....

Golf - good build quality, good engine, overpriced, not the biggest car.
Leon - good value for money (cc tax), lower built quality. Do I need something a little more grown-up...
A4 - practical/nice looking in s-line especially with a 2.0T 'too' grown-up maybe...

anyway back on subject - I really want to wait and try the new LC but the wait is dragging on... come on someone pull their finger out!

My Dad bought an A4 Avant S-Line 2T in September, its a very nice car and looks really well in the light blue metallic (forget the name).
I'll post a picture later.

I looked at the A4 Avant - nice kit, but the boot and the legroom are crap TBH. Might as well get an A3 S-Line. Plus, there's a new one out next year.

After talking to SEAT UK's Dealer Operations Department, I can confirm that due to the nature of the build, there is limited factory production for this particular vehicle. SEAT UK are only allocated so many build slots during the quota opening periods.

If a customer wants a standard model with no options there is a chance that we may be able to supply a vehicle earlier after the initial one per dealer. However as you are requiring specific options the earliest build week will be in May.

I understand that this is not the response you were hoping for and for this I must apologise.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us on..."

It's a fairly honest reply..... Quite an eye opener as to how the cars are made.

I didn't exactly imply I was confused or upset. He's probably seen my posts on here and realised how obsessed I am.

Interesting indeed the UK is having to wait, especially when they recognise the UK is the best market for the car. Doesn't make sense to me making us wait and potentially losing customers who have grown impatient/become swayed by the competition.

It won't be that far off being a year from it having been shown at Birmingham.
