Is the the K1 as we know it ?

I doubt... cause it is said to have twin exhaust! - The K1 is fitted with the central exhaust!

BTW: The K1 is really nothing new! - It is just the Aero-kit with the central exhaust, and that kit has been on the market for more than 2½ years... so in that case, I don´t think they will use the phrase "Check out the slick NEWLY-designed bumbers" if it was just fitted with the Aero-kit!

Uh-ho .... can see the sh*t hitting over this one ....

Looking at the teaser pics on the site, the front bumper is different that what has been seen before (also looks good if it stays like the teaser pic :runaway: )

I dont see any teaser pic apart from the bocanegra thats been revealed.

Looks like there will be a cupra r though. Hopefully 4WD. And if it is then im in big trouble as I will have a ahrd time choosing over a mk5 ibiza cupra and a Cupra R Leon.

I really really like that Bocanegra, if it is Ibiza size that could be the replacement for the GFs Ford Fiasco!

You can see it on the stand, bottom right on the site if you click on 'Birds eye view'. They've deliberately obscured the front end though.

From the Press kit:

Línea R: the sportiest range enhanced
Spectacular, exciting, quality, compelling, forceful, sporty…are only a few of the adjectives used to describe the latest and most exclusive addition to the León range - the Línea R. A new market launch and tremendous challenge that raises the flag of SEAT's sport identity to the top of the mast.

The SEAT León Línea R is a unique, spectacular vehicle whose captivating design and imposing range of engines are the car's identity traits.

The exterior looks of the Línea R are immediately visible, such as the spectacular new bumpers, the front end design, whose oversized air intake and honeycomb design is different from the rest of the range, the twin polished steel tailpipe and slatted side wings. An innovative spoiler at the top of the rear hatch strengthens its sporty looks and at the same time enhances its already excellent aerodynamic performance.

The side view reveals exclusive five double-spoke, 18 inch "Supercopa" wheels with their visible enormous disc brakes, and chrome encased door mirrors.

Every detail on the inside has been carefully chosen to reflect the car's sporty identity, featuring impressive bucket seats (standard on some versions), a new leather steering wheel, a round leather gearknob with its gaiter stitched in zigzag SEAT red and joined to the central console with a chrome surround.

Sounds like they are simply fiddling with it again. they can't be that enthused about it, they've not yet give it any fanfare. As most of the press have been there today, im struggling to find any mention of it outside SEAT's pr.

New bumpers so just a new body kit basically, if its any good people will retro fit it. If it's not they won't bother.

Sounds like they've but the racing car wheels on it. Probably something for them to tie into the new Leon Eurocup series.

Yes... I noticed that as well, and I have spend the last half an hour to try and find a picture from that part of the stand! :D:D

As coggie has elequently said, its just a bit of buy me tinsel. The PR doesn't mention any power increases. Wait and see anyway, given the usual level of fanfare SEAT give to their launches it can't be anything but a slight bit of bling.

omg that looks fukin sexy as fuk !

Did someone not post something recently about the K1 Cupra being the first of the special edition Cupras and another one would follow

Also, I recall SEAT dropped the R line badge in favour of the Cupra being the top model (where it was Cupra R before) and the FR replacing the Cupra?

The back end of that leon in that picture looks the same as any other Leon with the optional Aero spoiler. As Z said above, if the bumpers are different, no doubt it will be posisble to retrofit them if they look any good.

Wish SEAT would get their model range finished and quit fiddling to produce special editions. After all, isn't that something they do when the model is due for the chop just as the Ibiza is now?!
