Ok the press pack has details in English. This was out at least yesterday we must have missed it.
From the sounds of it it is being branded as a "Line R" customisation option so people can choose from a set of modifications. As Z says, probably retrofittable, although some may be expensive - e.g. the new steering wheel. There is also a round gearknob - I know some people don't get on with the std cupra one. Personally I think it's great. Presumably this stuff wil be "line R" branded. So much for the "R"
badge being gone for good
English release:
"Línea R: the sportiest range enhanced
Spectacular, exciting, quality, compelling, forceful, sporty…are only a few of the adjectives used to describe the latest and most exclusive addition to the León range – the Línea R. A new market launch and tremendous challenge that raises the flag of SEAT’s sport identity to the top of the mast.
The SEAT León Línea R is a unique, spectacular vehicle whose captivating design and imposing range of engines are the car’s identity traits.
The exterior looks of the Línea R are immediately visible, such as the spectacular new bumpers, the front end design, whose oversized air intake and honeycomb design is different from the rest of the range, the twin polished steel tailpipe and slatted side wings. An innovative spoiler at the top of the rear hatch strengthens its sporty looks and at the same time enhances its already excellent aerodynamic performance.
The side view reveals exclusive five double-spoke, 18 inch “Supercopa” wheels with their visible enormous disc brakes, and chrome encased door mirrors.
Every detail on the inside has been carefully chosen to reflect the car’s sporty identity, featuring impressive bucket seats (standard on some versions), a new leather steering wheel, a round leather gearknob with its gaiter stitched in zigzag SEAT red and joined to the central console with a chrome surround."
