i dont have that problem but it does think that someone is sat there and should have their belt on when the seats empty - normally the day after someone has travelled in it. very weird and intermittent, i will probably have to go to the dealers with this one though
If I have all the windows down then the passengers seat belt bangs against the pillar, buffered by the wind but I dont think it does generally. Maybe as the car gets thrown around on rubbish Bristolian streets!
mine has the passenger seat belt issue , also noticed annoying rattle/vibration behind glove box when go over 80mph and beyond. One for the first service me thinks.
I picked up my TFSi the other night and noticed a connector plug in foam dangling over the passenger seat well... I checked against one in the showroom and yes, both sides had had the under-dash "kick plate" removed!!! WTF???!
The passenger seat belt rattling against the side trim can be fixed by adjusting the belt to its highest shoulder setting. This puts the belt sufficiently far away from the side trim & it doesn't rattle
The under dash kick plate is missing from mine as well. I think we have a good case for making seat retro-fit them as if you look carefully there are two heater pipes that run down the right hand corner under there. When the car is warmed up, they're ruddy hot! I wouldn't like to touch them with my shoes, let alone a passenger in sandels for example...
Check out the 'rusty wheel hubs' thread for all the latest moans and groans. Its an ongoing problem and all the info and course of action is on that thread, hope this helps,
