these engines have a real problem with sumps,,, they really sit too much low,,,
I've got an iron sumpguard which has been custom built,,,
surely not light but very strong and cheap to buy/build. When the car sits kinda low I think it's deffo a must,,,

and anothern problem with extreme lowering is that the axles need to be inclined downwards at the wheels,,, I mean [it's diffucult to explain it in english for me!!! sorry!!] the part connected to the engine must be higher than the one connected to the wheelhub,,,

You also want the A-arms to sit pointing down towards the road and not parallel or pointing up away from the road surface.

if i get it as low as Max's at the front ill be happy-what you think stoney??

Going for the full -85mm on the back tho

TBH , i dont think max's is much lower as mine , saying that , mines getting higher soon as u do well know , rubs the odds time on sever roads ----dont like ---- , that "thing" we were chatting about the other night is nothing , remap and wet weather causes soot to stick to the boot, in the dry its fine , wheres kyle with those fitting guides for the rear braces , must be his tooth ache lol

I got a nice parcel today at work, direct from sachs race engineering at germany. I think you know what it is steven as you also have one on. Ordered it on tuesday afternoon, arived first thing today. Result;)

hey big boy lol , jbs fitting it with the new blower ,
Think im gonna get it done at Allards instead, as they where the ones that mapped the ecu with the turbo and if anything is needed then they will now what to do. The day i get it back though im gonna get it RR'D to see what she is pushing. Hopefully 230-240 would be nice:D

230 would be v nice indeed , gonna get this batch of stuff done n then see about big power , have talked to a few people this week about a few things when doing this , thinking about head work n all that when doing it ( if it happens )

(when it happens)

Good luck to you all!!! Ill stick the new bits and bobs on then leave my car til the end of the year!!

Got my pennies saved for the next motor-you can keep your 230-240 derv brake :p

interesting,,,
what was the max boost for the VT2?
2100 is a bit too high for my likes,,, I'm one that's more keen to loose some hp top end to have more grunt down low,,,
