im a week into cupra ownership and i love it!ive got a few plans for this, but im not going to be spending thousands on it as ive learnt my lesson from my last car.can anyone tell me what air filter is fitted to it by the tube which leads to it?i aint got a clue!

i love the speed, but handling and brakes i feel are gonna be the areas i make changes.

Welcome, just to pre warn you, this forum makes you spend more money when you see other peoples cars and how much power they have.

The car looks good though mate, very nice.

i thought that someone might have the same filter fitted and therefore would be able to tell me easy, didnt think it was that unseasonale ha! There is a couple me cupras local to me which run more power, and ive been a lurker on here a while so believe me im already tempted by more power. But im not gonna get sucked in yet, concentrate on keeping it in nice condition and sorting out the few issues i have with the car. Id quite like the bonnet and doing in anthracite as well as the mirrors. Is it a common mod to fit a small mirror to the drivers side? Im not done me having wonky "ears" on my car. Id like a miltek system aswell, i had one on my last car and it was really good. This one is a bit loud and not raspy enough.

i have small drivers mirror, a few people do it on here, but not to many as its fairly expensive to do,

im not keen on carbon to tell the truth, plus it means as well as painting it i can make changes to the brow if i can come up with anything interesting enough to tempt me. its a long way off anyway.

thank you for posting the link mate, i just hope the previous owners hav taken care of it. time will tell either way, its all good so far. its booked into seat for its 'big service' in a few weeks time while im on holiday.

first jobs tomorrow are to get it lifted and have a look underneath, raise the suspension, source a LCR splitter, order ARB set. i may get time to fit the new hoses on saturday, may not. im looking forward to jumping in and working on it.

my friend took me out in his cupra which has a stage 2 remap with the forge fmic, K03s turbo etc and is packing a load more bhp/torque than mine and it was too quick! honestly my car feels fast enough for me now.

what tyres are recomended? toyo proxes are what i used to run on my old machine and they were very good. is fitting strut braces as well as an ARB set a good idea or too much, its only for road use but it feels very tall even when its slammed (a little too low) on coilies.

i want to relocate the battery to the boot, any car specific problems with this?

can anyone tell me what brand the backbox is? i know its a long shot but maybe someone knows from one of the previous owners...

this is my old ride, sad to see it go. it had a racing puma engine fitted with miltek system, lots of money and time it was an awesome car but i couldnt resist the change to a cupra... well the turbo!

i might buy a spare full size mirror and have a go myself, even if it isnt exact it i still think it will look better than odd ones. is it just me who thinks that?

im torn between colour coding the bumpstrips and spraying them anthracite in a satin finish. more urgently it needs new wipers and brighter bulbs, as both aren't up to scratch.

whats a IHI conversion? full engine swap or big ass turbo?
