Door seals are easy to do..
Check usual stuff..
When the clutch bites/doesn't slip
Smoking etc
Gearbox slightly whines in 1st gear...but not others!
Check synchros are ok..
Engines are very good in them.
Dead easy to work on as it a mk4 golf in disguise!

find some at local dealers and drive some. everyone is different, you may not like the LCR.
But id be surprised if you didnt like it, friend had a civic type R subaru STI and then an LCR> which he sold and he says he should have kept the LCR.

Temp gauge should rise and stay at 90, if it drops when driven thermostats gone... no biggy but could be bargaining power

Also get vag-com if you plan to mod it too.
Ideal for logging and fault clearing.

Cheers guys and mine was quite nice actually not the usual gold alloys, sat on coilovers and rota grid drifts which I still have maybe for to the Leon??? 5x100 easy enough fitment??

Yeah, just the centre bore is 1mm bigger on the seat 57.1 as oppose to 56.1 on the scooby I think.
Should be able to get them machined out or as it's only 1mm overall a bit of filing should do it

Ye they originally come on a golf mk4 got them on eBay straight fit with 5mm spacers

Good car change choice! at least you can still get parts for the leon and they don't cost the earth or rot to death or blow up at the drop of a hat.
