A mate of mine is passing over his Cordoba, i believe its a 1.4, around 1997 vintage, as he does not have the inclination to repair it. I have a qwick gander at it, body wise okay except for a little corrosion on back wheel arch, interior a bit shabby, broken windows winders etc. Vehicle runs but splutters and loses power when warm, needs a front tyre, general tlc.

So the question is do i take this on as a project or walk away? He says the power loss is due to the ECU needing remapping (???????), im just looking for a cheap runabout for my kids to use, but obviously don't want to throw a lot of money at it.

His stance is that if i don't take it it is off to the scrappers, maybe i should read something in that?

any comments appreciated
