Howdo all,

As title, I am a newbie. Not very familiar with the 1.8 20VT motor as ive only have a Fabia vRS.
Ive just bought a 6K Cupra and need a little advice.

Under the engine cover on the rocker theres a few small vacuum pipes coming from a solenoid valve? one maybe goes down towards the intake? anyway all these are all loose and attached to nothing, theyre just dangling there. not only that, they are all hard a crumbling away so all these need replacing.

Any ideas on
1. where they all lead to and attach to?
2. what thickness ID silicone hose will i need to replace these with?

another quickie,

To bypass and remove these properly, i need some resistors.
Is it just one 330ohm resistor per solenoid? if so i take theyre just two pin connectors that need cutting off each?

also, where would one locate the newly soldered resistors?

Cheers

yes it is 330 omhs resistors. you only need one for the n249 valve i just cut mine 2" down put a spade connector on the wires, plugged it to the resistor and taped up out of sight. you can use the same resistor for the following if you want to tidy up the engine bay a bit :-

carbon canistor
secondary air pump

Ok so ive done the bypass.

On the brown solenoid ive noticed on other pics there is a hose on the back that leads to the right of the bay. where does this lead to and what does it do as mine isnt there!?
