Hey everyone.. before I start searching for an answer to my problem il just introduce myself a little.. new to the vag world, just come from a honda civic type r ep3, fancied a diesel as my daily as I have a mk1 mx5 that im restoring and eventually turboing so went with the leon cupra tdi. Its an awesome car, found one on a 04 plate in silver with 80k on the clock and full seat service history, it has been mapped but unfortunately cant see any documents to support this in the paperwork I have. I have only picked up on the way it drives a couple of days after buying it..

when accelerating hard the revs jump from 2-3k and then it continues boosting, does anyone have an idea what could be causing this to happen? Iv owned turbos in the past, standard and mapped, and they rev through the rev range continuously boosting.. as a little extra info, the clutch is fine and not slipping and its not happening because of wheel spin..

Welcome to the site Nath,I'm pretty new here too,seems like a great site and the info is abundance.I would say that you might have a generic map on the car,if it's definitely remapped,save up n get it in to one of the company's advertised on the forum to be sure,got a couple of issues also with my TDI Cupra.

Hey thanks for your reply.. cheers :) yeah it may be a generic map but isnt a revo map just a generic map put on the car without rolling road set up? I do plan on getting it on a rolling road and checked over asap. Whats up with your cupra at the moment?
 
Ahh sick of the bottom intercooler pipe joint leaking,have replaced all the seals and clips but the bottom joint is still weeping :( Apart from that she is still smoking badly on start and for about the first 5 mins plumes of the stinky stuff lol,just feel it for the poor sod that gets behind me lol,door seal need doing as there is usually a puddle behind my seat,that's about it really.Back to the interesting stuff though,just ordered a whitline rear ARB :lol:

Ahh right.. nightmare!! :-/ mine smokes a little when I floor it but thats it.. nice, I had a whiteline rarb on my vxr and it transformed the car. Where you ordered it from and how much? If u dont mind me asking.
