I emailed Revo asking about their maps as they offer the 280 - 290 - 300 maps on their site but to me it read in order of when they were produced so 300 being the latest cupra Map they do and this is what they emailed back...

"As for the GPF cars, these are on the radar, but not yet something we have developed for. I would advise a trip to your local Revo dealer, so they can acquire your ECU I.D and version, then put a file request in with our calibration department, so they can then update you over the coming month or so when the file is ready."

Cheers for the info. Bit unfortunate, but I'm sure at some point they will develop a map for it though. Worth emailing Awesome GTI also (APR remaps) to see if they are working on it?

I also spoke to Revo and got the same feedback

Each model and engine variant has a different ECU I.D and there are many types of ECU variants too, Bosch, Siemens etc, so this means that even identical models can have completely different ECU I.D’s and therefore different files, due to the fact we are not generic and tune specifically for the I.Ds and version numbers, always from the latest VAG stock file. So for the GPF cars, this would again be a different ECU I.D and type, which we’d then need to build and develop the files for. Far more involved than it may seem and this is why we stock to what we know putting months of development into these files, rather than just being another data area tuner or file writer.

As you say the GPF versions are on there list as is a Catch Can for my car.

I also note that Milltek are working on a High Flow GPF / Cat Back system.

Well I should get my Cupra around march... So here's hoping they have developed a map for the car by then as it's one of the first things I wanted.

My view is GPF is the same as DPF, If the car came with it you have to have it fitted and working otherwise its a fail.

There will be the usual amount of GPF Removal options that only end up being a fail or using a friendly MOT Station but i suspect they are getting harder to find these days.

I also suspect that from a business perspective the volume of sales for brand new cars is small (as most people (not me) worry about warranty) but here is hoping.

I would imagine it would throw all sorts of errors up on the dash?

Oh yeah, didn't think of that.

Yeah, I also see it starting / going the same way as DPF but much quicker as they are wiser to it now. Let's just hope it's a better design. Isn't it moved closer to the turbo to get up to temperature quicker / better? But I still see it as one more component to clog and fail. And being down the back of the engine, expensive to remove / replace.

Yes and now the petrol exhaust is going to get more expensive as you have to have both GPF and Cat updated.
