no drive seat alhambra.

i ave got a seat alhambra 1.9 tdi 130 driving down the road the other day then all of asudden no drive can get gears but let the clutch out and nothing happens just this noise that sounds like its trying to ingage gears but nothings happening could it be that the drive shaft as come out and if so how can you tell.the car as done 130,000 miles on a july 03 reg.

time for a look on a ramp first id say and go from there

did you get problem sorted out. normal problem is the splines on the hub shaft and drive shaft wear out causing the gearbox to lose drive due to hub shaft just spinning in the driveshaft conection

no not sorted problem still seartching for answears had some ideas what it could be from gearbox fixers ie planetery gears fly wheel broken up at acost of beetween 500 and £1100 what ya think?.

its the sort of thing which you will need to take to a garage to get someone to have a look at first hand. diagnosis of something like that over a forum is a bit nuts. I would quit searching for answers and get it in to see what the prob is.
