Got an AutoGauge boost gauge, most of the time its nice and silent but when on full boost around 20psi it makes a rattle/buzz noise. Just wondered whether all gauges do this or is it because this is a cheaper gauge?

they can be expecially noisey if you have a minute leak at the brass connections if the ferule isnt on right.
it normally makes this noise when you take the pressure from the servo line!

What sort of t-piece are you using jambo? The reason i ask is because i had the same problem with my old cheapo gauge. I fitted a special t-piece with a little restritor which cured the annoying problem. (like the ones below).

Better still just fork out that little bit extra on an autometer gauge as you pay for what you get in this game in my opinion!

ollie - That could well be it, do you know anywhere in the Uk where i can get one of these restrictor t-pieces from, maybe a website?
I had an new Autometer gauge shipped from the US and it was noisy - like a metalic vibration. Returned it and got a replacement and that was fine. These are delicate things and the postman isn't!!
