ok i guess im just gona hav to check mine myself to be 100% sure lol, im not sayin ur lieing however, how do you get the lights out mate??
I took out my interior light and it was 42mm. Doubt they'd be different for number plate surely? 
If you have the single interior light, put a flatheaded screw driver in the side of the clear bit and carefully ping it off! The number plate lights, if you have a look there is a tab on one side of the clear bit. Use a flat head screwdriver in and push it in. Then the clear cover should come off.

jst to finish tho i forced them in but the contacts only just n im mean just stretched far enough!!!

nah mate mine are in fine, just had to squeeze them in, no point wastin em now uv got them!!
and ibiza tdi 130 i will get a pic up asap, but reli worth going for ther so bright lol i was in a car park tonight with three friends all reversed up against a brick wall and ther so bright it lit up the tarmac around the back of all 3 cars!!! they do look good tho!
