Odd TCS issue

Hi,

Got a weird intermittent TCS issue with my Seat Leon Cupra TDI (04).

Twice now, whilst driving, the TCS light has come on the dash (the triangle with the circular arrow around it), and I have experienced reasonably severe juddering, especially when trying to accelerate in a high gear at (relatively) low revs.

I have had it VAGCOMed twice now and on both occasions there are no errors at all.

N.B.: Prior to the light coming and juddering starting I was experiencing some hestiation, like you might get if you had fuel contanimation (or were just running out of fuel).

Any insights would be gratefully received.

Read measure value block 01 on Vag com, te last figures on the right (or the one that say airflow meter readings). it should read from 0 (no strain on the engine) to 255 (engine under full load and turbo on full boost) if it does not reach 255 there's a fault with the meter.

Speed sensor could explain the tcs light but not the juddering and hesitation, however its a piece of p1ss to check the speed sensor function on measure value blocks on vag-com:

Address "03 - brake electronics" then either value 00 or 01, this will give you the speed reading of all 4 wheels.

On earlier models the tcs/esp was effected by the function of the MAF function because it cut off the fuel supply in order to prevent wheel spin. If the MAF is not sending a correct reading then the ABS and engine control units cannot determine how to cut the fuel, dab the brakes etc so it bring on the TCS/ESP light and limits its function.

No mate, if any lights appear when braking then there's a problem, Normally a low fluid level.
The only time any tcs/esp lights should come on is when you attempt to spin the wheels and the tcs/esp intervenes or when you loost traction then it should flash until traction has been re-gained.

Hi,

Still getting this vexing TCS issue. VAGCOM shows a fault with the:

ASR FRONT MK60

Can anyone say if this is an ABS sensor issue?

Thanks
