Jake.

found i had a big leak coming in from around the glove box, thought it was the drains near the pollen filter, but no, the seal aound the pollen filter had failed and been siliconed badly before, it will not longer leak now though haha

Loving the car mate I just bought.a.yellow lc the previous owner had it resprayed but its.not a very good job tbh.and I'm.prity fussy so dunno what I'm.gona do did u spray it the same yellow as it was? And how did u sort the leak? Thanks

Tbf mate even bad paint can be refinished with a good machine polish aslong as there is enough product on the car, I sprayed it in DuPont solvent based then clearcoated it. Same colour as factory.

The leak was solved by removing the full pollen filter housing cleaning and reselling.

Side note, new wheel bolt covers ordered and the hunt for recaros continues.

That's the thing mate think its bad prep job there's runs nd the paints got loads of bits on 1 side like loads of little bumps wasn't wanting to sand it just in case :S I'm all new to.the polisher did a good job on my last car but never keen on sanding nd polishing just in case

It's tough to say. Runs are harder to remove. Bear in mind this colour needs full sides paining bear minimum.

I'd be tempted to 2000 wet and dry it.

The dash was an ok job to do. Easy if you have DIY skills

Decat then as you will see more gains than a race cat on standard DP. Also quick change back for mot

Great car Jake, your an expert on these now :). Try the decat and tell us what the butt dyno says. If you fancy it try the XS exhaust manifold it adds some bhp for sure.
Jake i'm trying to repair a deep scratch on my bonnet and this may sound like a complete noob question here but does ebony black have a laquer finish or is it simply polished paint.

Ebony black can be done in both clear over base and in 2k solid, but for what your doing 2k solid is the best.

You want a cheap product though as they don't harden like rock basically mix it with activator usually 2:1 then use a cocktail stick to fill the scratch. May need two goes. Then when it's proud if the surface use a machine to take the top off back level. Think French polishing. And due to your colour it will be near invisible. At a push you can do it with black gloss aerosol but you'll need more coats as its thinner.

Re the decat it's more for a bit of popping than gains lol.

finally got round to flatting the paint and buffing it, car now looks like yellow glass haha

side note, finally found some front recaro seats
