Well ive got a new rear bumper, but without the holes, so need to know best way to drill the new holes basically, to put my exsisting sensors in, getting a nice clean cut, and what size bit I need.

Cutter supplied by Maplins is 21mm holesaw very clean cut, p.m. me with your address and i will send it to you.

just curious about which type of bumper youve gone for, cupra/fr or other. drilling the bumper itself or the black diffuser area (not that it would matter size wise)?

for plastics you want something like this 'fits all sizes' cutter.

I had it supplied with my kit that if fitted to previous car I had and it did drill quite easily and clean.

Just the standard rear bumper - sport model and below.. So the plastic is all the same on this bumper.

drilled from outside to inside.

I'd of thought it would've been better drilling from the inside just incase of scratches

when the holesaw breaks through at the end of the cut it is a bit ragged so better to finish on the inside. i cut 4 holes and no scratches.

pilot drill from out side to ensure correct location, then from inside - out. imho.

you dont get a raggy edge with a cone cutter!

fair point!
