It's easy mate, the worst bit is taking the glovebox out,
You can get dash top pod's have a look in Halford's or on Ebay.

... that look pretty interesting, will it get in the way of the speedo though???

i might just go for the pillar pod, these seem the most popular so i would presume they are the best bet.

cheers

I was going to ask the same thing JamJay! Also when you say "resetting" do you mean just disconnecting the battery for 15min and reconnecting it or is there a "reset" process that needs doing too??

Cheers Pacey

Take negative off for 15 mins (is you have a standard head unit get the code for it first).
Connect the battery back up and turn ignition on (don't start car).
You should hear a whineing noise fron the inlet manifold area for about a minute.
When the noise stops start your car and it'll be fine.

Cheers Richy will be doing this at lunch and see what the outcome is :) also were will i find my Radio code?? in the hand book? Sorry :(

Why does this need doing though? Can the car forget it's map when not used for a little while or driven conservatively for a few days?

I just poodle about in mine most often but find when I stick my foot down for a little bit, it runs noticably better afterwards.

it happened to me after it went into a non vag garage so i reckon that after unplugging something they needed to reset the ECU but didnt.

the radio code is found on the first page of the radio maunal.

you should have a sticker in there with the code and serial number.

everybody should do this...just in case.

cheers

The ECU is adaptive so will get use to your driving style, so if you drive like a granny, sell it and buy a corsa, if not, drive it like you stole it ;)
