someone do me a favour and point out that a STANDARD cupra r has a flat torque curve of 207lb/ft from 2200rpm settling down to 196lb/ft at 5900rpm, meaning it only loses 11lb/ft across a range of 4000 revs

that senator thing has max torque of 199lb/ft at 3600rpm settling to 179lb/ft at 6000rpm

so in a word the LCR has more torque across the whole rev range that the senator and thats as standard

well it must be true because he says how annoyed the Leon driver was when they went passed flashing at 140+. He also knows he was trying - there is no facial expression for trying (unless he was pulling the kind of face you pull when you are consitpated).

Any person who can read minds of a driver in another car whilst doing 140 must be the better man.

Senator my @R$E!!

Each to their own, if they are happy in their Senators so be it.

The only place you can really comapre them in safety and legally is 1/4mile strip or on the Race track, I would suggest the LCR would be quicker on both.

Do we really care what they think?

They like their barges

We like our Leons.

Surely we all have better things to type about that the yawnful old ' my car is faster than your car' stuff.

At the end of the day someone has to buy those barges so that we can feel smugly superior at their distinct lack of taste.:)

My dad is harder than yours...

They're bound to say that tho aren't they! Its a vauxhall forum after all and this is a Seat Forum.

I bet if I went on the Clio Sport Website somebody's 1.2 Billabong passed a CupraR doing 156mph....

Maybe not...

Thats so funny! Senators are massive 2 ton barges, imagine they are pretty fast top end, couldn't ever see one beating a Leon R though.

They have massive lounge like interiors with full on arm chairs, good old senators, bet his mates nova beats supercars as well

Let them think what they want its them who look like the fools anyway!
