Thinking about getting a pump to change engine oil. Any recommendations?
Ive seen manual & electric for sale on Amazon quite cheap but mixed reviews.
I dont really trust the plastic sump plugs so rather just not disturb!

Can't answer about pump but can you not fit a metal plug or does that not work with plastic sump.

Using a pump to suck the oil out doesn't remove as much of the oil as draining it out does. It's not recommended.

The plastic sump plugs have been around for years now and I've never heard of any issues with them.

Exactly, just use the plastic sump plugs. If you dont trust it, swap the pan out with a steel pan and optionally consider a Fumoto or Steelbus oil drain valve.

The rubber O-ring in your current sump plug does not have eternal life and you should replace it anyways in the (near) future.

I like this more than a steel plug to be honest. I have seen more people overtighten a steel plug than this plastic plug. You just twist it in, no torque is needed

I use a Pela 6000 oil extractor on my canal boat.

The cheaper ones are less reliable.
